Author Topic: What is a good modling program?  (Read 991 times)

So I like to design things and was wondering if anybody had a good modling program that they would recommend.
Must be
-free
-not a trial (for example 30 days only)
-CAN have a type of demo
-not idiotic

Good luck with that.

Torqe Constructor is now free, though i can't figure out how it works very well...

Perhaps because it's not a modelling program, it's a .dif creation program.

Blender

Although it's really complicated and tough to learn, it fits all those points

Wings3D it's 100% and easy to use. It can't export into .dts but you can export into .obj whic most modeling programs can import.

CAD only about €2500.00 but can import to.dts and really good to use..
it hasnt got trials..but it kicks ass..i would give you mine but i needs your moneys!

Yes.
However, you're not going to learn much if you quit because it looks to hard. For basic Blockland models you don't even need to use around 90% of Blender's features. Just look at some tutorials.

There are lots of .obj to .dts converter programs out there, just google.
