Author Topic: DO NOT GET RTB4  (Read 6441 times)

Ok, this is a serious threat. RTB is now known for removing functionality of the player decals on a TBM install. When I installed RTB, I had tried TBM after it, I used f8, and no decals were present on my minifig. Not even a face one. Anyways for your safety, *Do* NOT get RTB04. That's why it took so long for them to release it. They had to do a lot of coding to get this script to work.

Don't use TBM in the first place.

It should be noted that IT'S TBM'S FAULT that this problem occurs.  The "Play RTB.BAT" file deletes DSOs (to help keep things cleaner).  Guess what?  TBM releases some if their code in ONLY DSO form.  So, the batch deletes those files, and they can't be retranslated because the originals aren't present.

I understand their reasoning behind the release of only the DSOs.  However, it's not RTB's fault that they did that, and in accordance with the MOD rules of Blockland (see the MOD section of this forum), they shouldn't even be releasing only the DSOs, which is one of the reasons you can't find TBM on this forum.

So, in all, it's not RTB's fault for this.  But I do agree that a correction should be made.  As was said when RTB04 was released, it should be installed into a fresh copy of vanilla blockland.  If you have other MODs in it, then bad things *could* happen.  They're working on this, and it will be taken care of.  Sorry about the incident.  Good luck though, getting it working right.  Mouser X over and out.

I doubt that the RTB staff would try and take a blow to TBM in such a way bud.

Umm, for saftey don't get RTB? Depends on what you want to be safe from. Anyway, I posted about this on the front of the RTB site, and on the in-game RSS feed. This is unfortunate that it happened, and we will fix it in the patch that comes in a week. Sorry about the inconvenience.

Just don't use rtb with ptta 10 it forgets it all up just an fyi else it works fine.

Mouser X covered the issue pretty well, it's because tbm doesn't comply with the guidlines.  You should change it to only remove the *.dso's from the rtb directory, though.

That's the plan. Error caused by oversight. Our bad.

Mo, its not your fault, its TBM's for being to damn paranoid.

Just make a new folder for RTB 1.04 :P
