No, moron.

So, since your a heartless bastard, which you are, your not going to care for your girl's mom/dad and just lie like you do to get love? No it doesn't make it evil, it just means your heartless and need a blowup doll.

Why would you want to hurt someones feelings if someone died anyway? You would care because it didn't affect you.
Nick, I don't know what planet you're living on but it certainly isn't Earth.

I said I don't care about things that don't affect me personally. That would be an example of a personal effect.

Wow, a rock that lets you tag on it?

stuff.. I want that.

If you look at some old pictures of the school it's there. Also, bit of trivia, we have a fallout shelter. Its awesome.

At the end of my senior year I made some visits to the other parts of the school. I was disappointed.

They renovated the whole school district to match the new high school. White walls and floors EVERYWHERE. Very sterile. I remember when I was in middle school the school's interior looked like it was from the 70s still. Green walls, cruddy yellow lighting, random colored tiles on the walls floors. I liked that.

Also, on every bathroom door there was a scanner where you had to swipe your school ID to get in. WTF.

They're doing the same here. Only the building look very modern. It looks great, I can't believe our old schools could look so....new.

My old middle school was looking into card locks for the bathrooms after they caught someone having love in there.

yuki, did the guy who died happened to be your friend?

God damn this thread.
'xcuse my non-perfect French, but you guys are seriously derailing this thread to the point where it's literally drifting off the edge of this website.

Otis: You are an starfish and an idiot and your trying to use the "time of post" card to try and get away with it.

The rest: You all win for 100% disproving Otis. again.

I think Otis really won this 'battle' by offending you all with a rational explanation. I'm not saying he wins the kindness award but he did win this on a philosophical level.

Maybe you will understand that in a few years.

Example (fictional) : A man died in Michigan who is somehow related to my close neighbor, does this directly affect me? No. Is it sad? Perhaps. Is it a loss for humanity? On one level it is (It is a shame someone died, name circumstance).

So how does that affect me? Well, unless I actually knew that person, I would have a reason to be upset. But I don't and for all intensive purposes I shouldn't.

It doesn't help yourself to get all worked up about another person dying, it is inevitable at any rate. If you take a tragedy like that and work it out of proportion you only end up weakening your mental health. There's some truth to the saying "life goes on".

You can not read, and saying something like "Maybe you will understand that in a few years." is insulting. I'm not getting worked up over people dying, only Otis's reaction to it. I seriously doubt you have read all of this thread.

Death happens anyway. Just sometimes sooner.

What the forget? The same thing happened at my school, except it wasn't a car accident. Someone I knew when I was in 10th grade, he was a senior at the time, Monday Night he had a seizure and hit his head on his table at home. He died when he hit his head, he was alone at the time. His parents came home and found him dead on the floor. Everyone who knew him was depressed that day.

someone in mah school died of cancer.

@Ronin

That still does not give you the right to make fun of the whole situation and laugh at others misfortune. I understand that Otis doesn't give a crap about this guy's death and neither do I, but sometimes you have to at least show some sympathy. If you're not willing to do so then you shouldn't post at all.

As I said before, if everyone spoke their mind and did things accordingly, there would be little diversity and it would be unpleasant to live.

The thing is, the first words in this thread were:

Quote
I didn't know him

What is there to be sad about then?

Damn it, I always hit quote instead of modify.

I just read the last 7 pages of this.

At first in my view, Otis was saying his point correctly, but then the others went batstuff crazy and Otis was loling at them by talking about time of post and things.
Then I almost clapped when Otis just said his point and thoughts without doing "TIME OF POST" "YOU LOSELOELOEL" things. I don't see anything wrong with Otis's values/thoughts/morality/whatever you want to call it. I've had both my grandfathers die, both I was close to, but when they died, I was like "K, another day, another thousand of people(made-up number) dead across the world."

Also I thought of Nick as a handicap from his first post into the discussion/debate/argument of Otis and Vert and Bones. Nick, please read and stop proving yourself to be an idiot.
