Author Topic: Manga Character Attempt  (Read 3869 times)

I did this mostly to see how well I could color an image on the computer using Paint.NET

Tell me whether this is good in x/10 for a first attempt at digital 2d art.

It's good for using paint net.

He is falling over.  His torso is way too long.  He has no feet.  Lines are very rough.  His bandanna is exactly the same color as his hair.

On the plus side, you've attempted to draw a figure without tracing.  I recommend you look at a picture of an actual person to get a better idea for a pose and proportions.

You should start off by drawing a simplified skeleton to get the proportions and pose down, then flesh it out.

Yeah, i know he is sort of misshapen, I drew him about 3-5 months ago and just scanned him in so I would have something to color  :cookieMonster:

Thanks for the help though.

P.S. I suck at drawing feet

Boy, you better stop slouching, or you will gain a bag habit and bad posture >:O ~Old man

The shadow shows his left arm extended almost straight out, yet his arm is really at his side.

You have the huge sword, the unnecessary belt, but you're missing the thousands of zippers and maybe another belt or 10 wouldn't hurt.

Is it just me but does the bottom example drawings on Badspot's pictures look so wrong?

That is one badass sword.

His shadow's better than he is.  XD
