Getting caught masterbaiting.Anyway, my method of going about it is creating a new profile on the computer, going on the internet, then deleting the profile and all of it's files. May not be the best way of going about things, however, it's enough to keep my actions hidden.
Also that's a huge time consuming task for every time. You could just easily remember to delete cookies(dealing with the sites) and history.
You can set firefox to do that when you close it.

I hide mine in my blockland directory. I swear, once I almost caused a brick to show up as a researcho icon.
