Author Topic: Polarity Questions  (Read 1950 times)

There is a RGB LED light I found and I wanted to know how to check the polarity or could you guys tell me. I tried checking the polarity of all the wires, didn't work.

I wanna know how to make them work when connected to a 9V battery, and tell me what to connect to what.

I u can't see, the wires are Red, green. blue and white
sry, I suck with LED's

Green should be the ground so you don't need that and try putting the red and white on each end of the battery to see what happens.

Pretty sure white has to be alone. Meaning it is either negative or positive.

nothin'

Put white on positive and connect one of the wires to the negative.
If that doesn't work try it the other way around.

nothin, I think the LED is broked

Could be.
Maybe you burnt them with the 9V. Sometimes you can't notice it and end up wondering "wtf" later on.

I just found em on the floor

Ok this is what you do...

You have to recruit a TON of ROBLOX players. If you knew it was so easy...

Anyways, if you ARE from ROBLOX, and you still remember all the crap about me (Yes, you ARE Chriz...) then just put a post here. Maybe we could all start a server...

Ya, you don't what these were rated for and you could have very broke them.

LEDs are typically very sensitive to high temperatures, current, and voltage.

Wtf?

I dont think its setup for a single function. Could be something with lots of functions like a TV remote. The other wires could be hooked up to other functions. Also, a v9 battery is kinda strong?

anyways, I found out that it was connected to my old Halloween costume, its an RGB light for my mask, used to be connected to a black box with a switch on it.

also, where could I find LED lights in household devices?

Donno about household. You can find them in those laser pens with flashlights at wallgreens

I'm looking for blue ones for my NERF Longshot, also, where can I find them i stores and how much do they cost?
