Forwarding ports. Says another computer is using this IP address.

I've come across this error message when atempting to forward my ports. Did I do something wrong? Or is it my computer/Internet's fault?

This problem also causes me to be disconnected from the internet.

That's the problem if so. If not, probably Vista.

not vista, has to do w/ the settings you put for private i.p on router.. and the settings you used to make your i.p. static.

I got the problem when my private i.p address ended w/ a different number than my static i.p.

Turns out I messed up in step 2 of http://blockland.us/portForward/

I input my default gateway instead of my Ip Address.
