They are most likely calling it star trek because they might be restarting the series. Kinda like was done with the Batman movies.

It seems like people saying something sucks, with horrid reasoning, has become a trend.  Quit it, it's getting annoying.

Also, it's a prequel to the original series, so the name makes sense.

So it's a prequel. I was basing my opinion of it off of the trailer I saw.

And I'm not trying to jump on any bandwagon of any sort; I'm saying it might suck because I am entitled to my own opinion.
