Author Topic: Looking into Laptops  (Read 3012 times)

My parents said for graduation i can get a laptop of my choice. So after so research and scouting around i came up with this for my system.

Operating system-Genuine Windows Vista Home Premium with Service Pack 1 (64-bit)
Processor-Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo Processor T9400 (2.53 GHz)
Memory-4GB DDR2 System Memory (2 Dimm)
Graphics card-512MB NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT
Hard drive- 320GB 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive

Now given i dont wanna play like, cyrsis and such but i would like to play IDK Garrys mod, HL2, Left for Dead and have NO problems.

What do you think about it? Good? Bad? Any changes you would recommend?

Here is a Fact sheet about the Graphics card, in case you know nothing about the card itself.

Don't blame the OS. Viruses don't just magically appear on your computer. XP is no better.

It's an OK laptop Trueno, but if you want to game desktop is the way to go. Better ergonomics, more performance and better price.

Want a real gaming laptop? a second mortgage for your parents....then look no further...

http://falcon-nw.com/  (go to laptop second)

I'll be taking it to college thats why:

1. Its not Uber-Desktop powerfull
2. Its only 15.4 inches, 8 pounds
3.Under 2,000$ (by a good margin)

And yea your right Vista isn't any better. Also, you cant get XP with this computer.

Doesn't equal to not being able to get it after you buy the laptop.

Piss off, friend. No one needs stupid blatant abilities to not know how to use today's operating systems.

IMO, good choice on stuff.

Yes but Xp is expensive :P My parents wont go for me buying a laptop with Vista then buying XP. And i like Direct X 10 :P

(operating systems in general are expensive...)

I always forget OSs are a bit pricey. I got six free copies of Vista Ultimate from LSC. ;o

Same with Microsoft word.

Why is is all so damn expensive.

That was a rhetorical question Btw.

Wait... That's the same specs as my laptop... Asus M50VM B1?
