Windows Vista is fine and is more secure than XP. You should experience no performance issues with that laptop running Vista.

You don't really need Microsoft word (or any over priced Office product for that matter). I use OpenOffice.

It is completely free, no adware or adverts or any of that crap. You can save documents in Word/Excel/etc formats and has of the same features.

How much does it cost?

1,500

:O Get the Asus M50VM B1 Costs less, is the same. Also, built in swivel webcam and a mic, also, fingerprint scanner, Smart login thing. Comes with a case and optical mouse. We can be laptop buddies.

$1382 in Canada, so, I'm guessing you live in USA, it would cost a whole lot cheaper.

Edit: I forgot to mention, it comes with Microsoft word 60 day trial. I just didn't use the trial yet and got open office.
