Author Topic: A song me and my brother did.  (Read 6431 times)

Well, for my brothers College project, he needed to record a song for his Junior year first semester final project and his band abandoned him for it, and he had nobody to do it with, he came to me and asked if I could play guitar for his song that he had just written called "Upon a Stone in Dhanyawadi". I thought it was quite interesting, and after he posted it to his bands myspace, I checked out my work, and, well, this is the song.

It's the only one on there for now. He will hopefully come to me more often on making music, working with him was a great experience knowing that he's going to make it big.

Some history of him;

He is 20 years old born on December 24th 1987. He is a Christmas child. He got his first guitar for his 15th birthday from me and my brother which was a Ephiphone Les Paul edition. Then at age 16, he started taking lessons. By 19 he had written over 10 songs. And received the first place prize for Battle of the Bands. For his 20th birthday/Christmas I got him a Fender Stratocaster guitar. He is currently in possession of 4 guitars. The reason I am telling you this information, is because Matthew Szostak will one day be a star :3

This makes me happy.
like holy stuff i love this!
props to you and your brother, hope he makes it big, i wanna get his album.

only thing that im not digging is the layout of the song, sure its got a solo and all, but for half the song i was expecting it to get faster (probably since i listen to metal) but hey its like a Jimi type of thing so ill respect that.

Awesome! Is there an mp3 I can get anywhere?

I'll upload it eventually. I have to find the EP first. But, I dont really feel like looking, I'm half conscious but I cant go to sleep. I'm an insomniac, I was awake all last night learning how to play more music on guitar. I'll have some videos/music on my myspace for my band once I get that up.

Cliche` and too slow for my taste, just not feeling it.

HE SAID BLACK HE MUST BE tribal

Just because his brother's voice sounds different, he assumes that he's black. tribal.

That's not tribal.

It's produced well and all that, but it's not my style and I PERSONALLY don't like it.

Question:

Are you Jimi Hendrix?

Question:

Are you Jimi Hendrix?

I'm not. Obviously how I'm posting, and Jimi died in 1970.
