add-on help

when i go on another server that has more add-ons, my computer automatically downloads them, but i can't use them elsewhere. i find they're not zipped, so I compress it. that dos'nt work either. Please help.

When you download add-ons from a server, all you download is the shapes, textures, etc. You don't download the script, therefore you can't use it.

It would be cool if you did, it would make it so much easier to find addons. But again that comes with many dangers downloading random scripts.

I suggest you get RTB, it will help download add ons so much faster and easier.
Just go to this topic http://forum.blockland.us/index.php?topic=49524.0 and read through the description and if you like it download it and take the actual entire zip folder (dont extract) and place it in your add ons folder.

when you open blockland the first screen will be slightly different, Just click Mod Manager on the top right. It will help you browse through topics and just download them instantly and automatically install and check them into you add ons folder.
