Author Topic: We Build Stuff- We've got things in the pot.  (Read 56806 times)

You didn't have to aim for a presidential speech but whatever
Ooooh you noticed.

"Nos constructum res quod habeo sententia in Latin quoniam is vultus frigus"

Translates to:

I have our construct things which sentence in Latin since he cold face.

I approve of this motto.

Maybe it means "I have a cold face since because our things to be constructed sentence in Latin he."
This is closer to making sense.

No, it's supposed to be 'We build stuff and mottoes in latin look cool'.

That's what I get for using online translation things.

Aedificimus res et sententia in Latina perlustrat friga.

That is far, far closer.  Not exact, probably something is wrong, but closer.

It might mean "looked cool."  I don't really know the conjugation of Perlustro.  Maybe it should use an 'i' instead of an 'a.'

I'll fix it later.

Anti knows his latin!

Also does anyone notice how USSR and MotE went down during the recession?

shiiiiii :(

Oh and we ended it because our lives outside of blockland interfered with the clan, not because of bullstuff. Didn't want to see it make a mockery of itself like MotE did.

I didn't read past the name of the poster, but from that and the length of the post I can conclude: friend.

Let me issue an address with the $3 words and the writing style of a 13 year old.

WORDS.

You are dismissed.

My fellow blocklandians; the feared has come to pass. MotE has died.

MotE has oft been known as the single remaining 'epic clan'. While some tell tales of it's decline months ago, the events that have occurred in the days and weeks past have confirmed the unspoken uncertainty and arguably the greatest clan in Blockland's history has fallen.

But stay strong, my friends, stay strong. While many think the loss of such great clans confirms every olden player of Blockland's thoughts that Blockland is losing steam. Losing popularity. Losing good members and losing strength.

Let me quell your fears and tell you that I think Blockland is strong as ever. Founded in the fact that with every 1,000s of IDs that pass, while the majority may be loser seven year olds, there's always that one. The one in the minority that we need to keep on trucking for.

We owe it to Badspot, we owe it to that remaining good player, and most of all, we owe it to ourselves.

So as a WBS community, I'd like to ask all of you to be progressive. This isn't an end, but a beginning. The last man standing is always the tallest, you might say. The fact that the three greats have fallen doesn't mean that we will be choked out by the weeds that are terrible builders, but only if we believe that we can rise above that.

Find beauty in places once thought to be devoid of positivity. Be acceptant of the skill that is out there, and don't judge by tired ideals. Strengthen yourselves with what is available, and don't complain about what isn't. We'll come out on the other end better, my friends.

Goodnight.

what a friend you are. this clan is most likely to die in a month or two
