The only console that needs a hardware update is the Wii. It has worse graphics than the the venerable PS2. You can cry "innovation" till the cows come home but I think people are beginning to realize what a gimmick the control system is.

Both the PS3 and 360 have plenty of untapped power left in them.

I still think it was loving handicapped of Sony to go for all of that proprietary processor crap. All it has done for them is lost them several developers and cost the remaining devs time and money.
