Yes, but it has everything to do with how many consoles they've sold.

Just because you make a "bad" product doesn't mean it won't sell 24 million units.
Reactor Worker never said anything about it not selling, he said the system is weak and the controls are gimmicky, which is true. Look at a spec sheet and how many games have motion controls that actually inhibit gameplay.

Hey, you can't argue with numbers.
Just watch me.

I'm a Nintendo fan, don't get me wrong, but I'm tired of the Wii's controls. As cool as it is to point and click at stuff, it gets tiring eventually. Despite the amount of people that have bought a Wii, I don't enjoy the controls.

Yes yes yes. This all may be true, but this doesn't mean that Nintendo hasn't made a killing with the Wii.

It was a commercial success, no matter how bad you think it is.

You're voicing opinions, I'm stating facts.

Idk that is one badass DS

Not a Dual Screen anymore! It's a...

HS - Hepta Screen! (7)

What the forget.
You're saying that the controls are weak and gimmicky, which can't be backed up by facts. Someone else could come up and say that the controls are amazing and revolutionary and have just as much of a point as you.

The closest you got to actual facts was the specs, which, I agree, are on the weak side.

Then why didn't you say that dumb stuff? Your other post made it sound like that was an opinion.

And you can't tell me there are tons of games with piss-poor controls because they used motion control when they didn't need to. Mostly crappy budget games and mini-game collections.

That article doesn't say anything, its all speculation. Its like saying apple might make a new iPod.

Sums up the wii. :(

That's fair, but admit that there are some games that hit the nail on the head with the motion and point controls.

Consumers in general have proven that you can make a crap product and still make a killing (Ipod, Wii, Anything from Abercrombie, Old Navy, etc).

I never said they weren't doing well with the console, just that their "victory" is a shallow one.

The 360 and PS3 all have plenty of new and exciting game lined up to propel further sales. They also have better online support and features outside of the typical gaming experience (like netflicks on the 360 or BlueRay support on the PS3).

The Wii on the hand has dealt most (if not all) of it's strong cards and has shifted it's focus to the casual market with such stuff games as Wii-Resort or whatever the hell they call it. It lacks the muscle to satisfy provide high definition gaming which is a big issue considering that the market entry of HDTV's is substantial.

When it comes to kid friendliness, the Wii certainly has the upper hand with its many titles, but the PS3 and 360 both have their own selections of games appealing to all ages.

First of all, Ipod? Really? I love my Touch; It's an excellent product.

And as for your remaining wall of text, I basically agree with most of the points you made. I'm thoroughly disappointed that Wii burned out all it's great games (LoZ:TP, Elebits, MP3, SMG, Excite Truck, etc.) and is at this point appealing to the consumer as opposed to the gamer.

i read somewhere the plans for the ps4 were pretty much the same hardware as 3.
still will be ahead of whatever new console xbox makes im sure

Ps3 = Dreamcast

Ipods are crap because there are similar or better products out there from other companies at much cheaper prices. To put it simply, I-products are way overpriced and I am not a fan of all the crap they lock you into with their I-tunes program.

Other companies, such as Creative, offer great, open MP3 players with just as much features at almost half the price.

On the subject of the Wii's lineup, obviously it has a *few* decent games coming up, but not as many as the 360 or PS3.

Am I the only one that thinks it seems like the Wii just throws out the same motion sensing games with different objectives and graphics? In every single Wii game I've played, it always wagging your remote as fast as you can like you're an excited 10 year old who just started going through puberty.
