Jup I want here to chat about operas.

What? No. Not the browser. Opera as in the genre.

I was wondering who else here hears some opera songs and which song you prefer to listen to.

My favorite is "Cecilia Bartoli - If You Love Me". It's so peaceful and I can relax while listening this, I just feel like in the Seventh Heaven..

Fat women screaming. That's my opinion, although some opera makes me relax.

As long as they can sing (or "scream") properly I won't care.

I only enjoy Time to say goodbye. :D

I'd rather listen to real music than some ugly bitch screaming at me in a different language.

But music in different languages can still sound good. Example;

I am partial to Josh Groban's spanish music.

Lol, Opera has been around longer than anything you listen to. Look at the definition of music.

While i respect the Genre, the singing in opera is not for me. But if josh Groban could be considered Opera then hell yea all for that.

I prefer the Romantic Period and its composers.

And Bartok. Gotta love Bartok.

That gets so annoying, people who say stuff like "Yeah well without jazz there would be no metal" OH WELL SHOT RIGHT TO THE loving FACE I GUESS I HAVE TO LIKE JAZZ CAUSE METAL WAS INFLUENCED BY IT.

No, I hate jazz, I don't have to appreciate or like it just because it influenced other genres I listen to.

Appreciating and liking are two different words. Even if you don't like Jazz, to understand music you have to appreciate/respect the predecessors of modern music. If you don't like to listen to it, whatever, that's a whole different story.

Couldnt have said it better myself.

Modern Music is a cumulation of all sorts of music of the past, Jazz, Blues, and if you want to go into classical music its the style of the Romantic period. The music around us did just fall out of Wolfgang's ass, it was shaped, molded and twisted into what it is today. For example i'm listening to music and i pretty much know for a fact that if Men like Tchaikovsky or Rachmaninoff didn't exist, neither would muse.
