I really want to host. Super badly. If anyone here could post some good arguments why my parents should let me host. The reason they won't let me is because they don't want people getting our IP address. I need good arguments so i can convince them! please! (and thank you)

Most of the people on Blockland now-a-days are dumbass children that don't know the difference between a can and a building. Therefore they won't know how to get your IP, and the other smarter idiots in Blockland either don't care or are too lazy to get your IP. Unless you type your IP address into the chat message, they won't find out, and even if you did, they won't care... Most of them.

Well, tell them anything you do on the internet gives your IP address, hosting changes nothing.  There has never been a reported hacking from anyone getting a person's IP address from a server host.  Infact, I've never heard of anyone getting hacked from hosting a game small game servers.


Basically if you think that hosting a game makes you more threatened by hackers, that is very false.  You have more a chance getting hacked by surfing random web-sites in the same time you'd play.

People can't hack you just by forwarding a port to host BL. No worries; their Facebook stuff is just as dangerous as you hosting.

You can get an IP from anyone by banning them then looking in the un-ban list. Just playing the game gives out the IP. What makes them think that playing the game wont get you a rapist or two. No one cares for you in this community enough to get around $300-$400 to get a plane ticket and stalk you.
