All of your choices were excellent....except for the motherboard. To be honest, it's a crappy brand, low quality, poor manufacturing. If you're lucky it will work, but for future reference, stick to mainstream brands such as...

ASUS, Foxconn, EVGA, XFX, MSI, and GIGABYTE

Avoid...

Jetway, ASROCK, BIOSTAR, DFI, ECS, PCCHIPS, etc.

yeah i remember having an ASROCK motherboard.

it sucked big time.

EVGA motherboard+EVGA stuff=win.

That's very similar to the PC that I'm building, in terms of part.  Same RAM, same GPU (4850, but diff manufacturer than mine), same CPU, nearly the same DVD drive.

How's that CPU? :)

EDIT:  Also, can you play 1080p videos with no problem?  Mind trying the 1080p trailer (trailer 1) here (requires quicktime): http://www.apple.com/trailers/paramount/thecuriouscaseofbenjaminbutton/
I'm curious, as it skips/pauses a lot on my current system, and curious how it stacks up against the quad core + 4850.

The motherboard was 90% because I was almost out of budget. I hope to get a better one soon.

It hasn't been built yet. I will tell you once it has.

Oh, okay.  Thanks :)

Radeon 4850 for $174.99 only.
So unfair, its fricking 240$ here. :o

Nice PC BTW.

I put it together with the help of one of my dad's friends, and it is behaving 100% like I have a broken power supply. My father and his friend are working on it now, but if it doesn't work I have to send back the power supply.

You have connected everything right? including the auxiliary CPU power connector?

Hmmm... let me check.
Edit:
It seems so. They are re-building it, though. Cross your fingers for me.
