Author Topic: It's my bloody computer.  (Read 1592 times)

I don't mind that my parents put limits on how long I spend on my computer, and I often tell them I really don't care how long I spend on here; As long as I can spend it in peace and quiet.

My dad agreed that he would pay half of computer off as long as I spend less time on here; Which I have. Now my mum feels that she should choose where my computer is. Right now it's in my room, but she wants it out in the dining room/Kitchen area. The last time it was out there I had to put up with constant bitching about how tough her life was, non stop 'Thinking outloud' (Which is loving annoying because I have to take my headset off thinking she is talking to me), and just general bitching.

I've made it quite clear that not only will I spend less time on the computer if it is in my room, but over the few weeks it has been in here my attitude has improved.

I've tried approching my dad about it, but he has become an incompetent bastard over the last few months and can't manage to make a decision without my mothers approval.

No doubt some of you have had atleast some of the same problems, if so; How did you deal with them?

You know what I mean.
I just wanted to Google Bloody computer images :D The thing about my parents is that I only need to ask one for permission, I never had a problem with one needing the others permission. But I used to have the problem with the computer being in the lounged room which caused fights and very irritating for who ever wanted to use the puter. Then my bro left home then I turned this room into the computer room.

I couldn't live without my laptops, and computer, and the weird is that, when I'm on my computers, I tend to be in a better mod. :D

Ooh, theres a good idea.
Ask for a laptop instead. Then you can go wherever.

Like hell. It's hard enough trying to get them to listen to me, let alone buy me another computer.

Call your dad whipped. If he doesn't straighten up and tell the bitch off, find a new dad as your current one sucks.

Damnit, if I hadn't been sleeping I would have done that. >:(

Looks like you stuck between rebellion and dealing with someone who really wants to vent.

If anything, next time she complains at you (about general things) tell her a story about a kid who's situation is alot worse off.  If you make her feel bad about complaining she might just shut up.  Dont do something generic like a poor kid who cant afford food or the starving children in (insert third world country here).  Try something like a kid who almost gets killed every day because everyone hates him or something.  Bonus pity points if it also involves the family.

While it can still fail, what else could you do?

Ok look I have the same damn problem my mom says my computer should be in the den so I don't go on any "bad sites" yet she does not know about tv research. But I told my mom that if it stays in my room I can only play it on odd days(don't ask why) so she said yes and boom it stayed in my room
