FFC commands do not work

I type in /Skeleme or /Playdead or any of the other commands but nothing happens. I have downloaded the FFC script and put it in my add-ons folder. Plz help. I dont know what to do. (I am talking when i put in commands. I have a mac. My server terminal file says the commands are unknown)

Did you enable the add-on before starting the server?

um... this may sound noobish but how do i do that? I just put it in the add-ons folder

When you click "start a game," look at the bottom of the window that pops up before you create the server. There should be a button that says "Add-Ons." Click that, and a list will come up with all your add-ons. Check off FFC, then make your server.
