Author Topic: Where does the weapon shoot from? UNLOCKED  (Read 926 times)

I've had this problem for a while now, I figured out that you hold the Weapon from the origin in Blockland when you export your blend file into DTS but the Orgin is also where the Projectile comes out of too.
How do you select where the projectile shoots from and also where the effects come out too?

Edit: It would also help how I would name them as in "you press f9 and something comes up and you change that".

well it depends what you have. because i use blender you i click F9 and click new for "Vertex Gourps". Click b(make sure your in edit mode) and select the vertex point where you want your bullet to come out. Then name it "Muzzle"(i think. correct me if im wrong.) and click assign. and your done :) . to make sure you did this correctly click deselect, then select, then deselect, then select, then deselect, then select, then deselect, then select,  and so on. it should start blinking as your clicking. i do this for both fun and to review. your welcome.

donno if it differs from blender but its muzzlepoint for milkshape.

Doesn't work, still fires from hand.

muzzlePoint for where the bullet comes from and mountPoint for where you hold it from.

And also Ejectpoint is where the shell ejects from.

Both thank you.

Edit: Doesn't Seem to work. I guess I'm doing it wrong so do you just rename the object? Create an Empty? Vertex Group?

I think you need an armature or bone or something to that effect.

Im assuming you are on blender, and this is how you would do it.
Go over the place you want the bullets to come out, and press space. Make a aremeture.
Then, select it and move it over the place. Now, there should be two boxes with the word armeture near the bottom. Go to the second on and rename it muzzlePoint.
It's sort of the same procces with mountPoint, i think you get it.
