Author Topic: TI-84 Calculators  (Read 2970 times)

So, as you may or may not know, TI-84 calculators are graphing calculators that range from about $80 to $120 USD. (They're nothing new, been out for a couple years.) They come with a cable that plugs into your computer's USB port. By using the cable, you can download applications and games onto the calculator.

However, there is also a feature on the calculator itself that allows users to build small programs. This is mainly used for formula calculators and such, but I'm a nerd, so I took it a step further.

For about a week now, I've been experimenting with making types of games with that program feature. DDR, Pong, and a small WIP version of Tetris.

Kay, questions for you:
1) Anyone on these forums use a TI-84?
2) If you use one, have you played with the program maker?
3) If you have, ever tried making a game with it?

Comments involving LOLs about this topic are warmly welcomed.
(Not a joke topic, but I bet a good number of people will find it odd.)

Man, I used to know the TI program codes by number. Until my calculator got stolen D:
I never tried making games though. I made my own passworded program that had around 20 different equations, where it would prompt up A & B or X & Y depending on the problem, and would solve them automatically. God I used to love that thing :(

I has one and theres a few of them at my school :D

If you know the ID or whatever that comes on the back of it there's some warranty for it.

It got stolen, and I didn't even have a math class at the time, so meh...

I have a TI-84 SE, I have made apps on it, but no games. :D

I have one.  I've made a few programs for calculus but that's about it.

Figured you'd have one ;3

I have an 83 Plus, sadly.

there's not really that much of a difference between the 83 and 84
just a liiiiiiiiiiiiiiitle bit more ram

Used one in math today. Freaking awesome.

I have one, I found the random number generator today. I had fun asking it "I'm thinking of a number between 1 and nine million, what is it?" :D

I'm a TI-89t guy.

I'm spoiled :D
