Make sure your using the full version of some recording software.

Hell no i will not use windows movie maker that sucks.I use a program called roxio easy media creator.

Also I agree, this is not good one bit, you don't make a trailer before making a movie, you make most of the movie and then use scenes from it to make a trailer.
