If you mean that the green lag icon appears, make sure you've selected the right network type in the Age of Time options.  If you mean that the game is choppy, ie low framerate, adjust the detail level.  Other than that theres not much else to be done

Servers cost money.  I rent a server 2ghz server with a 1200gb bandwidth allotment.  It costs $120/month plus $99 for setup.  Setting up an alternate server in another location would be prohibitively expensive at this point. 

So far today, the server has used 9.7gb of bandwidth.  There is no residential connection available that can handle that kind of traffic.  Hosting from home is not an option.

A game server like this requires a dedicated machine.  A cheap shared hosting plan just won't work.  At any rate, a server in china wouldn't really help someone living in texas. 

so if you pay for the bandwitch what about blockland is the masterserver in garage games cost too?

I believe the garage games master server is free, although sometimes it might have problems.
