All the light is comming from the windows direction when you take a picture while facing the window all the detail is clearly visible, when you are taking a picture while facing away from the window the detail doesn't show(you are in your own shadow/darkside what ever.), you can easily see this while holding a hammer in one direction all the detail is showing while in the other it looks blend and shootshaded.
