Author Topic: This game needs a disclaimer...  (Read 3339 times)

Hahaha, I believe the game can be for kids, mainly because of the curse filter, but not the forums. ...forget-stuff.

There shouldn't be any age limit. But there should be a typing test of sorts! Honestly, if there was a 16 year old who typed in txt speak and a 10 year old who could type well I'd rather have the 10 year old here...

Blockland is made so everyone can enjoy it.

I was laughing so hard through this whole message.

My favorite line was:
NOT TO MENTION THE PLAYERS SWEAR LIKE BURLY SAILORS JACKED UP ON METHAMPHETAMINE AND WILL OCCASIONALLY CREATE GIANT PHALLIC IMAGES OUT OF LEGOS.

The esrb (I think it was) rating stating bisjacs very indirect misquote:
"online experiences may change" or some stuff like that. You all know the one. In fact there is an entire website that will explain in the many many details what that means.
And why your loving stupid for thinking any more warning is needed.
Games are not intended for children, nor should they cator to adults either. Thus the internet.
The games that are FOR children and meant FOR only to entertain children, are never, ever internet multiplayer.

Where the forget do you get off thinking games aren't meant for adults? There are generations older then mine who games were made for. And my gen joins the fad way late, yet I don't hate on my dad for goofing on the nintendo.
Do you just start disliking everything you grew up with simply because you hit a certain age? Like adults should give up any hobbies and sit there reading a newspaper all day.
forget you

Blockland is a game everybody can play.

I demand this be stapled to the front of these forums.
Qft

I almost died laughing reading this thread.

Front page. Now.

This is the only gaming community where this has been a problem. I think the disclaimer should go to both the older audience and the younger audience.

The lego and building aspect attracts the younger audience bringing in the age groups of 7-14 years of age. The community and MMO part of the game attracts to the 15+ years of age group. So joining blockland all ages must accept the fact that there is going to be a huge mix of age groups and ideals about the game. No one person can complain about it, if you dont like young kids on the game. DONT PLAY A loving LEGO BASED GAME. If you dont like older mean kids who "cuss" DONT JOIN FORUM OR PLAY ONLINE!. If you dont want people who "cuss" or are "rude" go play roblox or a Lego Island from the actual lego company.

Everyone who purchased blockland signed the contract that said that the age range of this game will be from 1-99 so no one has the right to complain about it. Deal with it or leave.

The theme is kid friendly, but the lack of moderation means this isn't the best game for children. There is nothing keeping any random 9 year old from going to a server and unexpectadly seeing a build looking like an errect snake. I think there needs to be a disclaimer to parents before they buy it for their kid, explaining this.

i know what you mean xD
