Is that 2.4 GHz combined, or is each processor 2.4 GHz for a total of 4.8 GHz?

Yes you still can because they are combined. I have a 2.1GHZ Tri core which means I have three that add up to 6.3GHZ. Trust me it will work although sometimes games might say you cant run it, it is only because they are only reading one core.
