Interesting. What do Australians think about Americans?
Most people think you guys are fat, stupid, lazy and gun-loving. It doesn't help that a lot of Australian TV is dedicated to making fun of American, British and other national stereotypes, but people here are dumb enough to think they're real.

I think anybody with half a brain can work out the stereotype isn't true.

Everybody does that everywhere. We make fun of Mexican, Canadian, and British stereotypes here. All I've heard about Aussie stereotypes are that they talk weird and do everything with kangaroos, which couldn't be farther from the truth.

I can confirm we talk weird. We actually end all of our sentances with a high voice, which most other English speakers in the world only do when asking a question.

Also, some real Australia vocabulary lessons:

Maccas = McDonalds
Woolies = Woolworthes, the largest grocery store chain in Australia (the Australia Safeway)
Dunny = Toilet
Slash = Taking a piss
Abo cunt = An Aboriginal who pisses somebody off
Smoko = Going for a smoke break
Pig = Police Officer
Bikie = Someone who is part of a bike gang
Mate = Cunt
Cunt = Mate

Pig = Police Officer
I don't think that's specific to Australia. Unless it's not derogatory, in which case that specifically might be, because it's usually a pejorative in the US.

I might be wrong on that one. Whatever America has, we say something different, but it's been years since I've had to call the cops out on anything.

I'm not too familiar with widespread USA words that aren't used elsewhere. I don't really pay attention but I'm also not sure if we have anything.

On the topic of police officers though, we could probably fill a page with the words we use for them. The ones only off the top of my head are police, cops, fuzz, heat, coppers, black & whites (not used so much anymore, since most police cars aren't black/white anymore), pigs, 5-0 (pronounced five-oh), and Feds (usually meaning FBI). It probably differs by region, but more people say "cops" than "police/police officer".
