I knew when I was a little kid that being a boy wasn't really what I wanted, but being raised extremely conservative Christian I thought it was sinful so I overcompensated for the gayness by being homophobic and punishing myself for the times when I yearned to be pretty.
Didn't accept it until I was 16, at which time I cross dressed for the very first time and knew immediately that that's what made me happy. 16 is also the same age I abandoned Christianity.
Over the past couple of years I've been struggling with my gender identity; on one hand I'd much rather be female, on the other it's really nice to be able to identify as both, on the third mutant hand the whole thing just makes my life more difficult.
