You look like quite the gentleman, and look sharp in a tux to boot. The white vest with a black tux and a light hue tie is a safe way to go. I myself had a black vest, black tux, and a red tie.

i rock lighter colours more than i do with darker ones, so even though my friends all had darker blue ties i went with a lighter one to fit with the vest.

everyone (except the guys i went with lmao) said it looked nice so it was o.k.

They are aggressive because you are insulting the way they look and many people get very agitated/defensive about that thing. The only purpose I can see for you to say such things is to push their patience.
