Could it be irony? Only Badspot knows the meaning.

I've awalys seen the Cookie Monster to show that its suppost to be a joke (See Gen. Nick's post)

I generally use it in the same way.

I usually use it to show either sarcasm or sheepishness:

Oh, yeah, obviously I'm the most famous Blocklander  :cookieMonster:

Actually, that may or may not be right  :cookieMonster:

Well if you actually hover your mouse over the  :cookieMonster: it means 'Thanks'.

All you pandaing nintendoes need to shut the panda up.  :cookieMonster:

I alwase thought that cookiemonster ment ":D"

JESS HAS MANY NO FACIAL EXPRESSIONS

Seriously you being absolutely unhappy all the time is getting...well...boring.

About the Cookie Monster emote. Noob's have no idea what it means. It means "THANKS". It was meant to be used like this:

"Oh I've been waiting for this Port.  :cookieMonster:"

I've seen a change since I've joined. More idiots are spamming emotes. And it's getting worse, Blockland is on three of YouTube's Top-Ten Games of 2008 (User-created)! Do you think we might go into a giant, noob sinkhole? (Like: "RuneScape", "Gaia Online", "BattleOn", etc.)
Can I get a link to where ever that is.  Please?  :cookieMonster:
