Stupid clans.

I am so tired of stuffty clans. We have to get at least 5-10 clans a day that suck. I am proposing that we (we as in Badspot) implement some form of filtering like a vote when the clan starts out. If the clan doesn't pass, then it's delorted. If it does pass, it's moved to a real clan section.

I'm just through with clans such as (And these, I assure you, are real clans)

• Blockers clan!
• Chuck Norris Facters
• Drac-clan

And those were made today or within the past week, I believe. Here, for comparison, is a list of clans that have genuinely succeeded, or are in a very upwards direction in terms of popularity or membership.

• USSR
• RotB
• MotE
• Blockintosh
• Microblock
• Mi

And possibly four or five more that are very successful clans.

In all seriousness people, this isn't just a bitching point for me. The clans section has been filled with the equivalent of weeds. It's only going to get worse if no one goes in there and weeds it out.

I agree that here should be at least SOME kind of filter. The requirements must be light, though, since clans can improve upon themselves.

I wish there was some system where you had to fill out forms and stuff like purpose of clan, name of clan, factions, etc. and there was a system in blockland to manage clans. I think we would get less terrible clans if the only thing the forums were used for in terms of clans was general clan discussion, and the whole members, application, clan builds, announcements, etc. were managed with another system.

And how about you give the new clans a chance, or a few pointers; Because right now you're all shutting them down in the first few posts.

Just because you don't agree with him doesn't mean you have to be a trolling bitch about it. USSR was one of the most popular clans while it lasted. Take a moment to grow up, and then come back to the forums.
