Yes you can get shocked. Various parts and components in anything with the word "Amp" in it can carry a charge for a lot longer then is warned, and a lot longer then you think. Touch the wrong part on or off with a conductor, and you can be in quite a bit of pain.(NEVER TAKE APART TV's)
