Author Topic: Third Person Players  (Read 7719 times)

Might be useful sometime

Third-person only usually makes buttons and such hard to use...

hard to aim at small targets

It adds difficulty to DMs at least. :p

I'm sorry but I absolutely hate 3rd person mode. I only use it when I'm stuck in a corner in games and need to see both ways.

i only use it to drive and fly... i could still use first person for that

I had made these before for my own personal use, and I have a suggestion.
For your, say, no-jet player type, you have a few excess fields.

Code: [Select]
minJetEnergy = 0;
jetEnergyDrain = 0;
showEnergyBar = false;

Without those, you'd still have a third-person no-jet player type.

isn't this just like spy in the admin menu?

no, because you can't pick a person to spy on, only yourself, which makes it hard to see what you're shooting at or clicking, or placing a brick

As you only joined yestoday, ill do a whole tutorial:

This section is Add-Ons;
           Add-Ons are user created items/scripts/events/mods/vehicles, anything that doesnt come with the game when you buy it is a user created Add-On.

There is a Map section too;
           Maps are.. well maps. These are some reason called missions too.

Chances are you dont know how to install Add-Ons and maps etheir;
           When you go onto a topic like this one, read what it is, then if you want it, look for a download button. If a new window/tab comes up then look for a download button on there too, then a different window should come up, press "Save as" then "Ok". After a while it should download (1 sec - 10 mins depending on size, and internet connection speed) if you use Windows Vista then press "Open Folder", you should now see a folder with the Add-On/Map in it. Or for non-Vista users, go to your Desktop. Now open "My Computer", go to the "C" drive, then "Program Files" (or where ever you installed Blockland), then "Blockland", then "Add-Ons". Now move your downloaded Add-On/Map in here, yes even maps, then close it all down. When you go to "Start a Game" on Blockland, if its a Add-On (NOT a map) click on the Add-Ons button, now check the Add-On youve downloaded (Usally at the top of the list). If its a map where it shows a list of map names, look for the one youve downloaded (Aphabetical order). Now when you go to start a game you should be playing with/in it.

I hope I didnt skip anything, bad mistake if i did.

On topic: Nice but i wont be needing as i cant host.

you can use spy on anyone

what is dis??????????
This Add-On adds a new player type you can select for minigames that means players will always be in 'third person' mode for deathmatches or whatever.
