Author Topic: How do I make my server dedicated? (I have already Port forwarded) (Read 3009 times)

I'm a little confused on this matter. A little help?

Easy, go in your Blockland folder. Then click on the Dedicated.bat and your done! The Dedicated server uses the last used Server name and Add-ons.

It is sort of confusing.
First of all, there is no option that says "Dedi" yes or no, so you have to do it manualy.
Ok, first, open up your Blockland Folder in C:/Program Files/Blockland and look for somthing that says dedicated.bat
Right click it and hit rename. Change the file extension (the three letters after the period) to txt
so it will look like dedicated.txt.
Open it and type pause.
It should look like this

Code: [Select]

start blockland.exe -dedicated -map construct (or any map)
pause

Change it back to .bat, and run it. After it finishes, it should show up with somthing saying RTB, (If you have RTB 2.1 Do what it says, wait, then start blockland and join your server.

When i do that, it starts, then it says "Blockland exe. has stopped working". Why does that happen?

when it stops it says "posting to master server". Does that mean i can join it?

nvm on wat i just said. It works. But, when i go to join it, it says my ping is dead. Im supposing i would need to forward ports, but I dont know how. all the tutorials I find are confusing! HELP!!

go to your blockland folder click on dedicated.command then start a server, then done

I did what Mustard said and a error came up saying "Windows cannot find 'blockland.exe' Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. To search for a file, click the Start button, and then click search.
