Author Topic: Power out for 5 hours  (Read 3096 times)

Lucky it's only 30 degrees for me. A bit colder. :<
Lucky, a few days ago it was -3.

Move to Eureka in California. It's not that populated, but hey, it's atleast 20 degrees higher than where you are in the winter. 'Cept summer, because thats when birds fall out of the sky. And theres less power-outages.

Seriously what the forget. My mom went to my grandparents and my brother went to my dad's (I didn't go anywhere due to me being 'sleepy'  :cookieMonster:). I wake up to having no power, so no heating when it is god damn 36 degrees out and loving windy as stuff. A tree got blown over and fell on a transformer (OPTIMUS PRIME NOOOO) putting my power out. I was scared about my turtles because the only thing that keeps them warm is their heat lamp, which duh, runs on electricity. My dogs were also squeeling and whining like little pussies, and all I could do is sit quitely on my bed, read a stupid ass people magazine, and listen to the cacophony all around me. Finally it came back on a few minutes ago though :D
Try 6 days friend.

Wat.

friendry levels in the forums were down about 15% for those 5 hours...guess that explains it.
:)

Wat.
Eureka is/was a pretty cool series on Sci Fi Channel the last couple years. Or at least I enjoyed watching it.

That's nothing compared to the blackout I had to go through. It was summer though, so the cold wasn't too bad. Starving for like a whole day was pretty bad though.

That wasn't so bad...

I had a generator :3

I wasn't affected for that.  :cookieMonster:

Haha it just missed Maryland where I was living at the time :D

I lived out of my car for 2 weeks, so no real "power" so to speak of. It's not really that bad....save for the cold nights.

42 degrees, feels like 30 degrees....  wtf
It's  -15  outside here

Luckily its 70 Degres out here xD

Four days before Christmas I got a power outage for four days with -20 degree weather. 100,00+ in my CITY lost power. That is not including suburbs and small high dependent cities.
