Author Topic: Parkour: How the hell do I get into it?  (Read 18264 times)

I do this sometimes, mostly on my way home from a party with friends.
Its really fun, but you have to be careful when you are doing this so you dont break things.

I live in toronto, anyone else here live in TO? Wanna share your favorite spots?

Where exactly in Toronto?

Where is this place of "elevated walkways" you speak of?
Like this?
-stuff-
Hmm I just realized...
Would you count Crash as a parkour type of game?
Well I meant stairs and walkways in between office/other buildings, they got this brick style and they are pretty steep. Good for kick flips.

Right outside of DC, NoVa is where it's at.

Lawrence station is my station, so north toronto.
I enjoy running in the market (spadina station, take the streetcar south - OR - osgoode station, take the streetcar west).

Where are you at?

Well, I've been talking to Vert on steam and by the things he's been telling to me, I might be able to pull this off :D

I need a runnin buddy :(

High park / Keele station.
Thats where my girlfriend lives!
Where do you usually run?

stalkers!

Edit:
I need a runnin buddy :(

and I also have never done it except today 2 times over a 4 stair stairway :O

Hmm, trail running is also awesome. Especially with winding trails up mountains such as Mount Washington.

Wtf no.
Well maybe running down them, but not up, no, not up.

EDIT: Yeah running down them actually sounds kinda fun actually

It's not as hard as it seems, just keep a steady pace not "OMG GET UP TO THE SUMMIT BEFORE THE ZOMBIES GET YOU!!"

Unless you get shin-splints, which would suck.

Is shin splints when your legs feel like theyre going to forgetin snap in half
I get that when I havent ran in a while

Im debating joining track

You can't do any running when you have them, because there is no way to treat it.

I got them by runnign on soft sand too much D:  they weren't that bad though.
