Hey guys, never got around to asking this question/problem.
Ever since my new computer, I've been having a problem with installing applications and games, mainly ones that use InstallShield and such. The problem is that the computer slows down incredibly during installation so much that the mouse is barely movable and installation takes at least 6 hours. It still is slow even in Safe mode, and viewing the task manager during installation I can see that both my CPU cores literally seem to switch loads (i.e. Core 1 is working max, core 2 is working minimal and vice versa, the point where they're in the process of switching loads for a few seconds lets me move the mouse slightly but still slow) as if there's only one processor core.
tl;dr; Installation for stuff is slow as forget and CPU cores may have something to do with it. Read bold for CPU thing.
