I heard if you use washers to keep the GPU down you permanantly fix it. I found on YouTube also, whoever thought of the towel trick should be shot.

Also I wouldn't do that, it can melt some parts probably and then Microsoft will be like "WELL HERES UR PROBLEM UR SUPPOSED 2 VENTILAET IT PAY US $40 AND WE FIX LOL".

They give you a free 1 month gold if its free fix though.

On my second red ring they took a long time to ship my hard drive so I got a free game.

Never played it though, just the fact I got something free is good.

I had my first RRoD 1 week ago. Some guy came and toke my Xbox to the service. Now I can wait 3 - 4 Weeks :<
