Author Topic: Moving Bricks?  (Read 1536 times)

Hey guys now that we are getting into brick physics and stuff ROBLOX came into my head. About a week before i discovered Blockland i tried out ROBLOX (I ended up hating it for the lag).

Anywho, i went on a ROBLOX server named Bread Factory. And in it was a guy who makes bread, and the bread fell onto a conveyor belt were it actually moved. It went through a baking machine were it changed color, and a wrapping machine. Then it was sent up into a train to be shipped.

I was wondering that if this could be done in the upcoming v11.

And for those who dont know, the bread is an actual brick.

I have wanted this so much, great idea.

no need, can be done with events (Yes, it is mega complicated)

I understand that it could be done with events, but it wasnt done with impulses.

ummm, lol? play blockland and try impulsing a brick.

Oh lol! I just got that. Sorry for that, i mean this actually MOVED bricks.

It is possible  altought it would take a very long time altough use simple evnts. I could make one. It would take at leatst 2 days.

It's not possible. Bricks are on a static grid, they cannot move. This ability was sacrificed to improve lag at 100 bricks to lag at 100,000 bricks. (Performance)

Ahh, well thats a shame. Oh well! I can live without it.

ontumblebricktouch->brick->addvelocity->X Y Z?

Read the topic. Bricks cannot move. Bricks do not have velocity.

He means with physics, even then it's not possible, though.

I'd assume that you could add velocity to a physic brick, but that's why there are 3 fields after the fakeKill event

Five events and a duplicator would take no more than 5 minutes to fill a 64x plate.
I'd even say half an hour to add some snazzy effects and features like that.

If it would have seriously taken you two days, lern2event.
