I jumped.

It said that it couldnt do it because there were no significant changes or whatever.
Then I unplugged the computer.
Plugged it back in.
That friend shield is still there.

Time to get 'dem discs.

That wipes everything, doesnt it.

Yep.

On the positive side, it'll be clean!  :cookieMonster:

Is it safe to just live with it?

If you enjoy that type of thing.

It would really suck though if there was a keylogger or something else potentially dangerous that you didn't know about.

Do what I said, and search around your computer for dodgy stuff. There is a way to see a list of files in order they were created, so it is probably close to the top on that.

Get spybot S&D.

Oh, and right click and arrange icons by modified.

Um ok.

I think this stuff might be coming from a process called
~tmpd.exe.

Second time AVG has said something about it.
Should I end that process?

Yes, and check back in a few minutes so as it might bring it's self back up. Best thing about spybot is that it is good for spyware and trojans.

Do you use it?

Also this is what AVG says about that file

Also, go to Start>Run, type in msconfig
Go to the Startup tab, and see what is starting up that shouldn't be.
Nothing in that list is necessary for the computer to work, so test to see what it might be.

EDIT: Also, go to the folder that AVG says that warning about, and delete the file it is moaning about.
