Author Topic: Files cannot be read?  (Read 1259 times)

If this is on the wrong board, tell me now. I figured Help is only for Blockland, so I put this here.

I'm using unFREEz to create an animated GIF of some sprites. Everytime I get the frames loaded and select "Make Animated Gif", an error comes up saying "Not a GIF file, or incorrect version number." I'm using GIFs as my frames, and have no clue what "Incorrect version number" means, besides that I don't have the latest version of unFREEz, but I have the latest version. Any suggestions?
Not unFREEz's problem.

Whenever I try to use some frames for a GIF animation on Animation Shop, it says "The file (file name here) does not exist or cannot be read. Please check the file name and access privileges." The file exists, it's named right, and I have access to it, so it must be un-readable. Any way to fix this? I can open the files other ways, but I can't make them into an animated GIF.

Use a better program.

Use a better program.
I'd like to, but I feel like being cheap. If you can tell me a good free one, I'll use that instead of this junk.

Animations Shop, 30days trial afaik. The best you can get imo.

Thanks, if anyone else has anything to help / a new program to use I'd appreciate it too.

Sorry, double post.

Turns out it's a problem with the frames themselves, I tried to do the same thing with Animation Shop, and it said most of the files could not be read. So, I'm changing the topic to deal with it.
