The follow is a guideline to setting up a Dedicated Server by Drake.

Setting up a Dedicated

1. Before being able to even set up a dedicated. You must port-forward. A helpful site is http://www.portforward.com/ .
2. Go to your computer desktop and right click on the BLockland Icon.
3. Next a box should pop up and in the lower left hand corner it says "Find Target" Click that.
4. Now depending on your set-up there are serveral icons. Double click "dedicated" NOT "dedicatedLAN"
5. A console shall then pop up and load everything up.
6. The dedicated server's name will be which the last server you hosted, but the default map its set to is bedroom.
7. There you have it, your very own dedicated server.

How to Talk Through Console

1. Open up your Dedicated Server's Console window
2. Then type talk("text"); or msg("text");
3. Then the words come up on the server as CONSOLE: text

Footnote: You cannot whisper to players through the console

Changing the Dedicated Starting Map

1. Get back to the window where you double clicked dedicated
2. Right click on dedicated and click Edit
3. Another window will pop up but it will be a text window.
4. At the very end of that short sentence it says "map- bedroom"
5. You may change the map to any DEFAULT map. ex. "map- slate"
6. Now when you open the dedicated it will now start on the map I selected, slate.

If I missed some vital information please, feel free to add anything I haven't. Thank you.

Manually Changing the Dedicated Server's Settings

1. Go into Blockland while your dedicated server is up.
2. Click Join a Game.
3. Click Query LAN.
4. Your dedicated server should be there for you to join.
If you have the RTB system add-on, you can bring up the server controls and change the server name, welcome message etc.
Also, you can bring up the admin box and change the map manually.

Ya. I thought of adding that stuff, but I stuck to just setting it up. Also, for some odd reason I cannot modify the first post. The modify button just isn't there.

There is no modify button for the Help section.
Also, sticky this Badspot.

Modify button would be most helpful, but its understandable.

I really don't understand this. For some odd reason when I post on a topic or start one, it will die off, lol. No one would post on it. It's mysterious to me. The only time someone would post is if its in my clan thread and they're in the clan. This just baffles me.

I don't think these guidelines are good enough to be stickied. If they were, people would post on it more and it would be stickied :P.

I like this it helped me thanks.

Bump for possible sticky.
