Passwords won't save.

I am using the latest version of Firefox.  My passwords are supposed to be saved, Firefox says they're saved, but they are not saved.  I'm sick of typing in my passwords like some not lazy person.

Do you continuously clear your cookies and cache? Whenever I do the password are lost, even though it says they are saved.

I have to input my username (Or put the first letter and click it in the box that pops up) then click the password box and it will appear.

The private data is cleared each time, but I checked it and that isn't the source.  GMail and Blockland remember the name and password but don't log me in.  Everything else makes me type it each time.
