Author Topic: Blockland crashes with "Blockland.exe has encountered a problem..." upon startup  (Read 1085 times)

I recently got this new(ish) computer, and it ran fine and all. Blockland installed fine, but for some reason, when I start it, it just comes up with the windows error thing "Blockland.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close.  We are sorry for the inconvenience." If I click on the thing "for more information about this error" it shows me the following:
Error Signature
AppName: blockland.exe    AppVer: 0.0.0.0    ModName: blockland.exe
ModVer: 0.0.0.0    Offset: 00002660

BL worked fine on the computer I had before this one, and so I'm not sure why it's doing this. If I click on the link within the error signature window to see technical info, it just shows a few files (like blockland.exe and ntdll.dll) along with some things that supposedly describe the files, and then a large amount of hex/symbols. Help would be awesome.

Same.
It worked yesterday.

My offset is different though.

AppName: blockland.exe    AppVer: 0.0.0.0    ModName: unknown
ModVer: 0.0.0.0    Offset: 520b47e7

Offset will always be different, its not a clue or anything. When you crash go to your Blockland folder and open console.log and paste the contents of that into a reply in this thread.

And if there IS no console.log? This happens right after I use the shortcut/.exe, nothing comes up.

It happens to me all the time and just stay on blockland

What do you mean, "just stay on Blockland"? Blockland doesn't even START.

Sorry for the double post, but this problem is still really annoying me, if anyone has any other ideas, etc.

Look at console log.
There should always be one.
C:\Program Files\Blockland\console
In in the BL directory

Nope, sorry, no console folder, no console log.

...Maybe I should just wait until v11, it might work then.

its in your blockland folder, there is no "console folder"  Its a .txt. file, it should be there.  If not maybe try reinstalling?

Yeah, no log. I've tried reinstalling a few times, still the same.
