My internet was gay today.

All day, my cable modem was being a forgetoff and not connecting to the internet.  I've got no idea how long it will stay on so any ideas on what the problem is would be a big help.

Well I would think the service providers would be a better bet to rely on with that kinda thing tho. They can't flame you for asking. :)

This happened to me all the time. I fixed it by replacing the cables that I used.

The only way I got it to work was by lossening the cables...

Someone said that you have to actually use pliers when plugging the cable into the modem to max out your connection.

I've never had that problem...  But I know that the modem is old and it's behavior has been getting more and more frequent.  I'm going to bet that it's dying.

I usually unplug everything, wait about five seconds, plug everything back in and hope for the best.
