Kid: MOM. I WANT GRAND THEFT AUTO.

Mom: I WILL BUY IT FOR YOU AND NOT CHECK THE RATING. AFTER ALL, IT IS YOUR 6'TH BIRTDAY.

*three days later*

Court Judge: And you say your son shot your sister?

Mom: I blame video game violence. *sob*

It's beyond me as to why parents buy GTA for 6-year-olds in the first place.

You're missing my point. This is in the wrong section, and even if it were in the right section, it's pointless and no one cares.

I dunno, that play like thing seemed pretty dramatic to me.

Who cares, the topic will be moved, so keep on discussing anyway.

My question is how the hell do 6 year olds find out about such games.
When I was 6, the only damn game I was playing were LEGO Creator, LEGO Island and LEGO.com games. And real LEGOs. My first real 'violent' videogame probably was Age of Mythology, but I was smart enough to go "Pfft, even if this was real, I'd probably get killed anyway! Hell no!"

When I was 6 I was playing Mario Bros.

Oh, and this insainly violent game called duck hunt. How dare my parents allow me to play that.

I agree with mikyeryrufierf, parents are to blame, not the games. parents, use your brains.

Probably from going to their cousins house and watching them play.

When I was 6, I was playing Tetris. My childhood was forgeted up because of it.

Go figure.

My parents nowadays watch more closely about what games I buy. They're smart enough to know what games have love and what don't.
