Author Topic: Collision mesh  (Read 1105 times)

Ok, i am amking a vehicle and i got the scripts right but when i use wrench on vehicle spawn and try spawning it, it crashes blockland. Someone told me that it has to be a collision mesh to get it to work. Can someone tell me how to make it a collision mesh in milkshape?

When i try to make collision mesh it crashes blockland

So i guess i don't know how to make collision mesh very well either, so i need help too ._.

CollisionMesh101

For MS3D

1. Create a Box

2. Name it:  collision-1

3. Export using TGE Plus, then click "Create Bounds", after that, click "Apply"

4. Export

Hmm, if the model isn't too complicated, can you duplicate the model, make it invisible and call that collision-1?

The more complex a collision mesh, the worse it works.

Oh snap... Alright, i'll remember to not do that then :P

No. You'll only make it worse, and possibly crash Blockland. A box is the most stable collision mesh, aside from spheres.

Dang, alright then, a box i shall try!

Shall i put the box around the vehicle, and if i do, how should i set it to be transparent or do i not need to. got it! except, the vehicle does not move...

One thing: Make sure your wheel nodes are not INSIDE the mesh. This will result in a crash.

Your wheels might not be touching the ground, or the collision mesh is below them or something

Don't make Concave Collision Meshes, they don't work.

I tried making the wheels below the mesh, they do not even appear.
