Author Topic: Monitor Resolution  (Read 1928 times)

Ive got a 17" Widescreen (I know, its small :p) 1280 x 720 resolution.  My problem is, theres no 1280 by 720 resolution setting on here (Display Settings).  How do I get this to work?

if your video card wont allow you to use your monitor's max resolution, then it may need updated drivers or a new card.

if that's even the problem at all

Yeah, I inherited a piece of junk really.  A Dell Dimension 5100.  The desktops not even listed on Dells website anymore.   It gets things done though.

So wtf do I do now?

Look for video card driver updates. A good way to find them is the tutorial blockland has on the support page.

http://www.blockland.us/driverupdate/

The devices name, manufacturer, chip type, DAC type, and approximate total memory arent listed.  They all say n/a.  I also dont have sound.

Wiped disk and reinstalled windowns like 2 days ago.  I already did all the Windows Updates, but I still need to fix the sound and everything else.
Anyone know what I can do?

YEah thats the closest I can get.

Forget the resolution though.

Why the hell cant I update my drivers.

1650 x 1080 :D
Darn. My monitor can only go up to 1440x900 on my laptop.

Wait I lied, Ive got it set at 1280 by 1024 right now.

Anywaysssssssssss

WHATS WRONG WITH MY DRIVERS forget

Info looks the same for sound, except theres no information at all
