hard drive transfer

well, seeing as i recently made a topic about how to go about getting a new computer, my next task for you.
transferring all the files from my current hard drive to the new one.

any suggestions? cause ive never actually done it before (the last time we had to do this i wasnt into computers yet)

Hammer open new computer, take insides and shove em in the new computer

Well, I can think of several ways.

Hook up both computers, and transfer them over the network.

Place the old hard drive inside the new computer, move all the files from one drive to the other, then take it out.

Swap the hard drives. (Thought you probably wouldn't want to do this)

Upload the files you want to keep to a webhost.
